pics -- Just outside of the city of trujillo, peru, on the northern coast of the country, there's the ruins of Chan Chan. It's made entirely of adobe (mud) bricks and much of it has lasted here for over 900 years...it almost never rains in these parts. En las afueras de la ciudad de Trujillo, peru, en la costa norteña del pais, yacen las ruinas de Chan Chan, una ciudad de adobe...barro...que ha durado más de 900 años sin deritirse...casi nunca llueve acá.
